I (Michael Smalley) am leading an extraordinary trip to Uganda April 14-23, 2012. My dream is to get as many couples as possible (Individuals or singles are definitely welcome) to experience this short-term missions opportunity to work with orphans in prison, homes, and government facilities in Uganda. My heart for couples, especially those who might be experiencing the “empty nest” for the first time, is that they bond together through serving God’s children.
There is no greater way for a couple to experience deeper intimacy than by serving with each other on a short-term missions trip!

In Uganda, our teams will spend time working at Amazima Ministries with their feeding program and with the children of the Karamajong tribe. Our focus with Amazima Ministries will be to present vacation bible study series and lessons to these children so that they know the love of their Heavenly Abba Father. We will also help meet physical and financial needs by bringing supplies and donations from the U.S. There are many other orphanages and ministries Visiting Orphans partners with in Uganda such as Canaan Children’s Home, Return Ministries, My Father’s House, Amani Baby Cottage and Sixty Feet.

Once you have joined and signed up for the trip, I will add you to the group because our Facebook group page will be the main hub for new information and details for the trip.
The cost of this trip per person will be between $2,800 and $3,000. Most of the cost is associated with your plane tickets, but once you are in country, all of your food, transportation, and hotel fees will be covered by your trip fee.
